The cottage is situated in England’s smallest county, in an area of outstanding natural beauty, providing visitors with an ideal base for walking, cycling, fishing, bird watching and to enjoy many watersports, including, sailing and windsurfing. Glaston is an attractive village, mainly of cottages built from local limestone, on the A47, between Peterborough and Leicester. The village has the benefit of a first rate restaurant and bar, The Old Pheasant, open seven days a week. The surrounding area boasts many interesting places to visit including; Rockingham Castle, Belvoir Castle, Oakham Castle, Burghley House, Barnsdale drought garden and of course Rutland Water, England’s largest man-made lake. Set on three floors this luxury property can comfortably accommodate up to twelve people. With double glazing and full gas fired central heating throughout guests can be assured of a warm and comfortable stay whatever the season. On the ground floor there are two lounges each with quality furnishings and comfortable seating for accommodating up to twelve persons. The larger lounge leads onto a large patio area and well-kept garden. There’s a character fireplace fitted with a coal effect gas fire, a colour TV receiving Sky satellite broadcasts, a stereo music centre, video recorder and plenty of games to play and books to read. |

The second lounge has an inglenook fireplace and suitable for open log fires on those winter evenings. The room provides more comfortable seating, a TV receiver and VCR. The kitchen is fully equipped with everything required to ensure a comfortable stay, including a large gas cooker with double oven, dishwasher, refrigerator, freezer and microwave. The farmhouse style dining room, set off the kitchen, has an open fire and large refectory table with ample seating in which to enjoy those cosy family meals. There’s also a library on the ground floor providing a refuge for reading and relaxation. The ground floor cloakroom has a wash hand basin and WC. On the first floor there are three large bedrooms. The stunning master bedroom has a French window leading to a balcony overlooking the garden. The bedroom has it’s own bathroom with bath and separate shower cubicle and WC. An additional cot or single bed can be provided if required. The second bedroom is a, tastefully decorated family room fitted with a double bed and a single bed. The third bedroom offers a large room with two single beds. There’s a fully equipped bathroom with a bath and shower and offering a wide selection of complimentary toiletries. On the second floor there are two beautifully decorated bedrooms. The first room providing two single beds and the smaller bedroom one bed but, with the facility for adding a second single bed if required. |

The fully enclosed well maintained garden with attractive shrubberies and large patio area with plenty of garden furniture is absolutely perfect for enjoying those warm summer evenings outdoors.
