The Old Schoolhouse has recently been carefully refurbished into two adjacent but totally separate properties, the Masters Lodge and The Dormitory, each sleeping four people. Both of the cottages are extremely well equipped and furnished to a high standard.

This picturesque stone-built properties are situated in the peaceful village of Edith Weston, on the south shore of Rutland Water, just a stone’s throw from Rutland Water sailing Club. With gas fired central heating throughout visitors can be assured of a warm and comfortable stay whatever the season.

The Old Schoolhouse is perfectly placed for those who enjoy outdoor activities. Right next to Rutland Water, England's largest man-made lake, for fishing, bird watching, walking, horse riding, cycling sailing and windsurfing. On a sunny summer afternoon take a trip across the lake in the Rutland Belle motor steamer – its great fun. For the children there's a butterfly farm to visit, a climbing wall for budding rock climbers and a number of playgrounds for smaller children.

The accommodation:

Each property provides tastefully decorated lounges with log burning grates, an ideal place to be on a cold winter’s evening. There’s plenty of comfortable seating in each lounge and for entertainment; a TV (FreeView), DVD and stereo player, also lots of books and magazines to read and games to play.

The dining areas are each suitable for seating four people. The fully equipped kitchens have everything required to ensure a comfortable stay, including a refrigerator with freezer compartment, washing machine/dryer and microwave etc.

Upstairs each property has a stunning master bedroom with double bed and a second bedroom with twin beds. There’s also a bathroom with bath and shower attachment above.

The fully enclosed gardens have attractive borders and are absolutely perfect for enjoying those warm summer evenings outdoors. There are also two private off-road parking spaces adjacent to the property (one space for each cottage.
